Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable
- Have an outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays
- Good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- Able to answer phones and take special orders
- Able to lift and carry product weighing up to 70 lbs horizontally or vertically for up to 4 hours
- Able to stand continuously for up to 4 hours during an 8-hour shift
- Perform general housekeeping and clean and sanitize work area
- Operate slicer, wrapping and cooking equipment
- Maintain all equipment in safe working condition
- Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
- Able to work in cooler and freezer environments

Job Duties
- Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals
- Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays
- Prepare special orders and party trays
- Operate meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales, and other deli equipment following company standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary deli area and equipment including cleaning shelves and products, keeping floors free of spills, removing hazardous debris, and sweeping
- Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
