Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age to enter/work on the deli side of the department
- Must be at least 18 years of age to operate knives, ovens, fryers, pizza ovens, food processors, dishwasher, and other specialized equipment
- Must be able to follow Federal, State, and Local food safety and sanitation regulations
- Must be able to maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions in the work area
- Must have good communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts and perform multiple tasks as assigned
- Physical capability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
- Possess basic computer skills
- Possess strong communication skills
Job Duties
- Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding prepared food operations, safety, and sanitation
- Provide attentive and courteous customer service by fulfilling customer questions about prepared foods products (i.e., ready-made meals, packaged salads and subs)
- Maintain a clean as you go policy to ensure sanitary conditions at all times
- Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of product (i.e., following recipes and cooking instructions)
- Maintain proper shelf, cooler, and case conditions, such as stocking, cleaning, and rotating product
- Follow all store Shrink guidelines with regard to keeping track of all discards
- Ensure proper temperatures and working condition of cases (hot and cold) as well as maintaining all equipment
- Complete all necessary paperwork
- Follow direction from the Deli Manager, perform tasks as assigned
