Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields
  • Be dependable and reliable
  • Possess friendly and positive attitude
  • Be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • Be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs for distances up to 20 feet without assistance
  • Be able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously
  • Perform general housekeeping in the deli department
  • Operate deli equipment safely
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and regulatory standards
  • Maintain a Food Handler's permit
  • Be able to work in various temperature environments

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent or acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Have experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field
  • Be dependable and reliable
  • Show friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
  • Have good communication skills and ability to take direction
  • Be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • Be able to lift and carry products weighing up to 70 lbs
  • Be able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously
  • Have ability to operate slicers and cooking equipment
  • Adhere to food safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • Obtain and maintain a Food Handler's permit

Job Duties

  • Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals
  • Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • Maintain cleanliness of the deli department area
  • Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays
  • Prepare special orders and party trays
  • Operate deli equipment including meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, and scales following company standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary deli area and equipment
  • Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy, temperature, and quality
