Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Have experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields
- Be dependable and reliable
- Possess friendly and positive attitude
- Be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Have good communication skills
- Be able to answer phones and take special orders
- Be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs for distances up to 20 feet without assistance
- Be able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously
- Perform general housekeeping in the deli department
- Operate deli equipment safely
- Adhere to all safety, health, and regulatory standards
- Maintain a Food Handler's permit
- Be able to work in various temperature environments
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent or acceptable combination of education and experience
- Have experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field
- Be dependable and reliable
- Show friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
- Have good communication skills and ability to take direction
- Be able to answer phones and take special orders
- Be able to lift and carry products weighing up to 70 lbs
- Be able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously
- Have ability to operate slicers and cooking equipment
- Adhere to food safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Obtain and maintain a Food Handler's permit
Job Duties
- Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals
- Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain cleanliness of the deli department area
- Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays
- Prepare special orders and party trays
- Operate deli equipment including meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, and scales following company standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary deli area and equipment
- Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy, temperature, and quality
