Job Requirements
- must be at least 16 years of age or older
- hornbacher's age requirement for this role is 18 years or older
- able to stand for extended periods
- able to lift and carry deli products
- availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- legally eligible to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- experience in customer service or food handling preferred
- ability to engage guests with a positive attitude
- willingness to learn and accept training
- strong communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- basic math skills for weighing and packaging
- team player with dependable work ethic
Job Duties
- slice, weigh, package, and label meat and cheese products for guests
- prepare and dish up salads
- serve food to guests through the hot case as applicable
- ensure the deli case and product areas are stocked and visually appealing
- prepare meat and cheese trays, veggie trays, and other department products for merchandising
- follow food safety guidelines and health, safety and sanitation regulations
- may be responsible for dish washing, mixing ingredients, assembling catering orders, and baking or frying products
