Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18 years
- Availability to work weekend shifts including Sundays
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, twisting, crouching, and reaching
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and coordinate hand, eye, and foot movements
- Capability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 30 pounds
- Willingness to comply with company policies including equal employment opportunity
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in deli or food service preferred
- Knowledge of deli product preparation and sanitation standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Basic math skills for weighing and pricing products
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds during shifts
- Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Prepare, slice, wrap, weigh, price, and merchandise deli products
- Maintain high standards for product freshness, cleanliness, and sanitation
- Inform guests about deli products and services
- Hand out food samples and recommend additional items to guests
- Teach fundamentals of deli production including mixing, scaling, slicing, cooking, frying and finishing
- Coordinate and communicate with other departments for smooth product flow and service
- Maintain accurate department records
- Demonstrate friendly and courteous customer relations
