Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Have experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Be dependable and reliable
  • Have an outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
  • Ability to answer phones and take special orders
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to stand for up to 4 hours continuously
  • Perform housekeeping and sanitation duties
  • Operate deli equipment safely
  • Adhere to safety and health regulations
  • Maintain Food Handlers permit
  • Work in cooler and freezer environments
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Must be able to stand for up to 4 hours continuously during an 8-hour shift
  • Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the deli area
  • Operate slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • Achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
  • Be able to work in different temperature environments

Job Duties

  • Assisting customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals
  • Providing a high level of customer service and ensuring deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the deli department, including cleaning shelves, floors, and equipment
  • Filling, maintaining, and rotating product displays
  • Preparing special orders and party trays
  • Operating deli equipment such as meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, and scales following company standards
  • Receiving, inspecting, and logging products for accuracy, temperature, and quality
