Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or equivalent or acceptable combination of education and experience
  • be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • able to lift and carry products up to 70 lbs
  • capable of standing for up to 8 hours per shift with continuous standing for 4 hours
  • able to work in different temperature environments such as cooler and freezer
  • operate slicer and other deli equipment
  • perform cleaning and sanitizing duties regularly
  • adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field
  • dependable and reliable

  • good communication skills
  • ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • able to take direction and work in a team environment
  • ability to answer phones and take special orders
  • food safety knowledge and ability to maintain a Food Handler's permit

Job Duties

  • Prepare fresh and easy meals for customers
  • arrange vegetables and sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches
  • assist customers with catering orders
  • maintain food safety and cleanliness standards
  • operate deli equipment such as slicers and wrapping machines
  • perform general housekeeping tasks in the deli area
  • provide high-level customer service and product knowledge
