Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- have a high school diploma or equivalent or acceptable combination of education and experience
- be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- able to lift and carry products up to 70 lbs
- capable of standing for up to 8 hours per shift with continuous standing for 4 hours
- able to work in different temperature environments such as cooler and freezer
- operate slicer and other deli equipment
- perform cleaning and sanitizing duties regularly
- adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field
- dependable and reliable
- outgoing and friendly behavior
- positive attitude
- good communication skills
- ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- able to take direction and work in a team environment
- ability to answer phones and take special orders
- food safety knowledge and ability to maintain a Food Handler's permit
Job Duties
- Prepare fresh and easy meals for customers
- arrange vegetables and sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches
- assist customers with catering orders
- maintain food safety and cleanliness standards
- operate deli equipment such as slicers and wrapping machines
- perform general housekeeping tasks in the deli area
- provide high-level customer service and product knowledge
