Job Requirements
- must be at least 16 years of age or older
- Hornbacher's age requirement for this role is 18 years of age or older
Job Qualifications
- positive attitude and desire to learn
- ability to engage customers through product samples and suggestive selling
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to follow food safety and sanitation regulations
- ability to perform multiple tasks such as slicing, packaging, and preparing food
- good communication skills
- experience in a deli or food service environment is a plus
Job Duties
- slice, weigh, package, and label meat and cheese products for guests
- prepare and dish up salads
- serve food to guests through the hot case
- ensure deli case and product areas are well-stocked and visually appealing
- prepare meat and cheese trays, veggie trays, and other department products for merchandising and sale
- follow food safety guidelines and all health, safety and sanitation regulations
- dish washing, mixing ingredients, assembling catering orders, baking and frying products as needed
