Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field
- Dependable and reliable
- Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays
- Good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and participate in team environment
- Able to answer phones and take special orders
- Able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs
- Able to stand for up to 4 continuous hours
- Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
- Operate slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment safely
- Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Achieve and maintain Food Handlers permit
- Able to work in cooler and freezer temperature environments
- Other related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Have experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field
- Be dependable and reliable
- Exhibit outgoing, friendly behavior and a positive attitude
- Have good communication skills
- Ability to take direction and work in a team environment
- Ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 70 lbs
- Able to stand continuously for up to 4 hours
- Have or achieve a Food Handlers permit
- Ability to operate slicer, wrapping, and cooking equipment
Job Duties
- Assisting customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals
- Providing a high level of customer service and ensuring deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Filling, maintaining, and rotating products and displays
- Preparing special orders and party trays
- Operating meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales, and deli equipment following company standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary deli area and equipment
- Receiving, inspecting, and logging products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality
