Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent or acceptable combination of education and experience
- Have experience working in a grocery, restaurant, or related field
- Be dependable and reliable
- Have an outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
- Able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Have good communication skills
- Able to take direction and participate in a team environment
- Able to answer phones and take special orders
- Be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs for distances up to 20 feet
- Be able to stand continuously for up to 4 hours and for a total of 8 hours per shift
- Perform general housekeeping and sanitation
- Operate deli equipment safely
- Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Able to work in different temperature environments such as cooler and freezer
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Able to operate slicers, wrapping, and cooking equipment
- Able to adhere to safety, health, and food handling regulations
- Possess or able to obtain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals
- Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintain cleanliness of the deli department area
- Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays
- Prepare special orders and party trays
- Operate meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales, and other deli equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary deli area and equipment
- Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy, temperature, and quality
