Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent or acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Have experience working in a grocery, restaurant, or related field
  • Be dependable and reliable
  • Have an outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
  • Able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Have good communication skills
  • Able to take direction and participate in a team environment
  • Able to answer phones and take special orders
  • Be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs for distances up to 20 feet
  • Be able to stand continuously for up to 4 hours and for a total of 8 hours per shift
  • Perform general housekeeping and sanitation
  • Operate deli equipment safely
  • Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • Able to work in different temperature environments such as cooler and freezer
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent or acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Have experience working in a grocery, restaurant, or related field
  • Demonstrate dependable and reliable behavior
  • Show outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • Possess good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team environment
  • Able to answer phones and take special orders
  • Able to operate slicers, wrapping, and cooking equipment
  • Able to adhere to safety, health, and food handling regulations
  • Possess or able to obtain a Food Handlers permit

Job Duties

  • Assist customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals
  • Provide high level of customer service and ensure deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
  • Maintain cleanliness of the deli department area
  • Fill, maintain, and rotate products and displays
  • Prepare special orders and party trays
  • Operate meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales, and other deli equipment
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary deli area and equipment
  • Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy, temperature, and quality
