Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18 years
- Weekend shifts including Sundays required
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, twisting, crouching, and reaching
- Ability to perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and hand-eye-foot coordination
- Capability to stand, walk, and bend throughout the workday
- Ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 30 pounds
- Authorization to work in the applicable region
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous deli or food service experience beneficial
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Basic math skills for pricing and weighing
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
- Familiarity with deli equipment and food preparation techniques
Job Duties
- Preparing, slicing, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and merchandising deli products
- Maintain high standards for product freshness, cleanliness, and sanitation
- Inform guests about deli products and services
- Increase sales by handing out food samples and recommending additional items
- Teach fundamentals of deli production including mixing, scaling, slicing, cooking, frying, and finishing
- Coordinate and communicate with other departments for smooth product flow
- Maintain department records
- Demonstrate friendly and courteous customer relations
