Job Requirements

  • be at least 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • have experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field or equivalent education and experience
  • be dependable and reliable
  • demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior
  • work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
  • have good communication skills
  • answer phones and take special orders
  • able to lift and carry products up to 70 lbs
  • able to stand for up to 8 hours per shift
  • perform housekeeping and sanitize work area
  • operate slicer and deli equipment
  • adhere to safety and health regulations
  • maintain Food Handlers permit
  • work in cooler and freezer environments
  • perform other related duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • be at least 18 years of age
  • have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • have experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • be dependable and reliable
  • possess outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • have good communication skills
  • ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • be able to answer phones and take special orders
  • able to lift and carry product weighing up to 70 lbs
  • able to stand for extended periods
  • operate deli equipment safely
  • ability to work in different temperature environments
  • achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit

Job Duties

  • prepare fresh and easy meals for customers
  • provide excellent customer service in the deli department
  • arrange vegetables and slice meats for made-to-order sandwiches
  • assist customers with their catering orders
  • maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • operate slicers, wrapping and cooking equipment
  • perform general housekeeping and clean work areas
  • adhere to safety, health, and weights and measures regulations
