Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent or acceptable combination of education and experience
- Be dependable and reliable
- Exhibit outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
- Have good communication skills
- Able to answer phones and take special orders
- Lift and carry products weighing up to 70 lbs for distances up to 20 feet without assistance for up to 4 hours
- Stand for up to 4 hours continuously for a total of 8 hours per shift
- Perform general housekeeping duties including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
- Operate deli equipment safely including slicers and cooking equipment
- Adhere to all safety, health and regulatory requirements
- Maintain a Food Handlers permit
- Ability to work in different temperature environments such as cooler and freezer
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications

- Have experience working in grocery, restaurant, or a related field
- Be dependable and reliable

- Have the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Possess good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Be able to answer phones and take special orders
- Be able to lift and carry products up to 70 lbs
- Be able to stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to perform general housekeeping and clean work areas
- Experience operating slicers and cooking equipment is preferred
- Adhere to safety, health, and weight and measures regulations
- Ability to work in various temperature environments including coolers and freezers
Job Duties
- Assisting customers in making healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals"
- Providing a high level of customer service and ensuring deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the deli department area
- Filling, maintaining, and rotating product displays
- Preparing special orders and party trays
- Operating deli equipment such as meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, and scales according to company standards
- Receiving, inspecting, and logging products for accuracy, temperature, and quality
