Job Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
  • Ability to answer phones and take special orders
  • Must be able to lift/carry products weighing up to 70 lbs for distances up to 20 feet without mechanical assistance
  • Must be able to stand continuously for up to 4 hours and up to 8 hours per shift
  • Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties
  • Operate deli equipment safely
  • Adhere to safety, health, and food handling regulations
  • Ability to work in cooler and freezer environments

  • Ability to perform general housekeeping duties
  • Ability to operate slicers, wrapping, and cooking equipment
  • Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • Ability to work in different temperature environments including cooler and freezer

Job Duties

  • Assisting customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals
  • Providing a high level of customer service and ensuring deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented while maintaining cleanliness
  • Filling, maintaining, and rotating products and displays
  • Preparing special orders and party trays
  • Operating meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales, and other deli equipment following company standards
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary deli area and equipment
  • Receiving, inspecting, and logging products for accuracy, temperature, and quality
