Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age or older
- Hornbacher's age requirement is 18 years or older
- Ability to provide friendly and remarkable customer service
- Willingness to comply with food safety and sanitation standards
- Capability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks required for the role
Job Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16 years (18 for Hornbacher's locations)
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to engage guests through product samples and suggestive selling
- Basic food handling knowledge is a plus but training is provided
- Ability to work part-time hours
- Dependability and teamwork orientation
Job Duties
- Slice, weigh, package, and label meat and cheese products for guests
- Prepare and dish up salads
- Serve food to guests through the hot case
- Ensure the deli case and product areas are stocked and visually appealing
- Prepare meat, cheese, and veggie trays for merchandising and sale
- Follow food safety guidelines and health, safety and sanitation regulations
- Perform additional tasks such as dishwashing, mixing ingredients, assembling catering orders, baking or frying products
