Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Experience in grocery, restaurant, or related field or equivalent education and experience
- Dependable and reliable
- Outgoing and friendly with positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and carry products weighing up to 70 pounds
- Ability to stand for up to 4 hours continuously
- Ability to perform general housekeeping and sanitize work area
- Ability to operate slicers, wrapping and cooking equipment
- Comply with safety, health, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to work in cooler and freezer environments
- Ability to take special orders
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in grocery, restaurant, or related field or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Dependable and reliable
- Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Good communication skills and ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Ability to lift and carry product weighing up to 70 pounds
- Ability to stand continuously for up to 4 hours and for a total of 8 hours per shift
- Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Ability to work in different temperature environments such as cooler and freezer
- Achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assisting customers in making healthy food choices by preparing fresh and easy meals
- Providing a high level of customer service and ensuring deli items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
- Filling, maintaining, and rotating products and displays
- Preparing special orders and party trays
- Operating meat and cheese slicers, ovens, microwaves, cutting tools, scales, and other deli equipment following company standards and procedures
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary deli area and equipment including cleaning shelves and products, keeping floors free of spills, removing hazardous debris from floor, and sweeping
- Receiving, inspecting, and logging products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
