Job Requirements

  • proficient computer skills including email and spreadsheets
  • ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents
  • accounting or bookkeeping skills

  • suggestive selling and knowledge of products
  • detail oriented

Job Duties

  • Assist with ordering and maintaining inventory control to ensure freshness, product quality and turnover
  • extend or decrease recipes to meet desired quantities
  • assist with receiving and unloading deliveries
  • check and verify receivables for amount, quality, count or weight, condition and store in appropriate areas
  • stock to ensure quality protection, accuracy and product rotation
  • handle spoiled or damaged products per established guidelines
  • train others to perform all department activities and functions
  • manage the selection, scheduling, and supervision of others to meet or exceed departmental productivity levels as delegated by department manager
  • have familiarity with all products carried in the department
  • know differences in price, taste, preparation, use etc
  • develop new Kitchen Express recipes as well as recipes for the Caesar Station
  • assist in the preparation of all food products while following established recipes
  • wait on customers including slicing, cutting, weighing, packaging and pricing merchandise
  • maintain a clean, attractive and well stocked department
  • additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
