Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2+ years of grocery or food service experience
- Prior shift lead or management experience
- Ability to stand and walk for entire shifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Open availability including weekends and closing shifts
- Valid Food Safety Management Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years grocery or 2+ years food service experience
- Previous shift lead or management experience mandatory
- Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
- Open availability including some weekends and closing shifts
- Valid Food Safety Management Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Assist deli/bakery manager in providing leadership by directing and managing 5-10 employees
- Maintain high levels of customer service while meeting commissary requirements and maximizing profits
- Oversee and enforce food safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Manage inventories by tracking weekly reports and ordering raw materials and supplies
- Assist in scheduling and training employees and delegating work assignments
- Prepare, maintain, and track records concerning inventories and work processes to calculate monthly profit
- Maintain a safe and clean environment to ensure health and safety requirements are met
- Develop and maintain professional communication with commissary management to meet store financial objectives
- Monitor customer satisfaction and assist in developing processes to address areas needing improvement
- Maintain accurate department records to document activities
- Monitor employee morale and promote a positive teamwork environment
- Perform duties of staff as required in this hands-on position
