Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior management experience in retail, food service or deli/bakery
- Valid Food Safety Management Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to frequently lift and move objects up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently
- Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to maintain professional relationships and resolve conflicts
Job Qualifications
- Management experience in retail, food service, or deli/bakery
- Knowledge of deli/bakery equipment such as slicers and ovens
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to handle conflict resolution professionally within the department
- Valid Food Safety Management Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
Job Duties
- Unify and motivate team through praise and recognition with immediate feedback to build trust

- Train and develop associates to meet policies and procedures standards
- Assist and communicate with customers in a friendly and courteous manner
- Receive and record special customer orders using suggestive sales techniques
- Direct and participate in deli and bakery activities including receiving, preparing, pricing, displaying, maintaining, and ordering products
- Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Conduct weekly sales meetings to establish merchandising, sales, and profit objectives
- Update department for seasonal merchandising
- Attain budgeted sales and profit goals
- Prepare weekly work schedules ensuring adequate coverage and adherence to sales and labor rates
- Monitor and enforce government and company policies and procedures
