Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Previous experience in a deli bakery or foodservice management role preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of deli and bakery products preparation methods and food safety regulations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a kitchen or food preparation area
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to food handling kitchen equipment and sanitation
  • Safe Serv Certification preferred but not required

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a deli bakery or foodservice management role preferred
  • Experience with inventory control pricing and staff supervision

Job Duties

  • Oversee all daily operations of the deli and bakery departments ensuring proper product preparation customer service and department cleanliness
  • Plan order and manage inventory levels for deli and bakery products
  • Audit pricing for deli and bakery items and implement merchandising strategies
  • Schedule team members and supervise and train new team members
  • Ensure all deli and bakery associates are trained in food safety equipment handling and customer service
  • Assist customers with inquiries special requests and custom orders
  • Ensure all associates adhere to safety and health regulations
  • Oversee the ordering receiving and storage of all deli and bakery products
  • Build and maintain attractive product displays
  • Work to maximize sales and gross profit through efficient operations and cost control
  • Carry out other duties as assigned
