Job Requirements
- At least one year of housekeeping or custodial experience
- Ability to use professional cleaning equipment safely
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Dependability and punctuality
- Ability to maintain professionalism at work
Job Qualifications
- One year of housekeeping and/or custodial experience
- High school diploma, high school certificate of completion, or GED preferred
- One year experience with floor and carpet care equipment preferred
- Working knowledge of deep-cleaning chemicals
- Ability to use hot water dirt extractors
- Ability to use power wash equipment
- Effective communication skills in English
- Ability to read and follow written instructions
- Ability to stand and walk for up to ten hours
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to kneel, bend, and reach
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
- Ability to accept and apply constructive criticism
- Ability to interact effectively with team members and guests
Job Duties
- Provides guests and staff with clean and orderly work environment by scrubbing floors, grout, cleaning and dusting vents, ceiling tiles, walls, columns, lights, and light fixtures following established procedures
- Ensures the cleanliness of carpets by vacuuming daily, chemically pre-treating spots, and running the hot water deep-cleaning machine on a monthly basis following established procedures
- Maintains the deep-cleaning machinery by draining, cleaning, and airing out machinery after each use
- Assists Housekeeping Management by reporting the amounts of chemicals, equipment and supplies used, minimizing waste of product, and reporting any defective or damaged machinery and/or equipment
- Follows safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors
- Completes cleaning logs and necessary forms accurately
