Job Requirements

  • Education equivalent to high school diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in baking or food preparation preferred
  • Food safety certification required
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor and stand for long periods
  • Compliance with safety and hygiene standards
  • Willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in baking or a related role is preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of baking techniques, guidelines, and sanitation regulations
  • Certification in food safety is compulsory
  • Competency in basic arithmetic and numerical calculations
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in both written and verbal forms
  • Physical capability to handle duties such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended standing or walking
  • Ability to adhere to uniform regulations and use of personal protective equipment

Job Duties

  • Create a selection of baked treats by adhering to production standards and following prescribed recipes
  • Arrange your work surface with all the essential supplies and ingredients for baking
  • Put together the components by quantifying, weighing, blending, chopping, and carrying out other necessary preparations
  • Operate baking tools such as ovens, stoves, and mixers
  • Take precautions to use utensils, like knives, safely and effectively during meal preparation
  • Adhere to guidelines for the safe storage of food products
  • Follow proper hygiene protocols by sanitizing work areas, equipment, and utensils after each use
  • Sustain high levels of customer service and project a positive outlook when interacting with guests, clients, customers, and colleagues
  • Comply with Aramark's safety policies, which involve observing appropriate food handling and hygiene practices
  • Uphold the safety of organizational assets by complying with established security guidelines
