Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Able to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Follow all Fresco y Mas policies and procedures
- Competent with computer applications used in department operations
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time as needed
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic math knowledge
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters, and price guns according to company standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in bakery or cake decorating preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills
- Basic math knowledge
- Competency with bakery equipment operation
- Food safety certification or ability to obtain within 180 days
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to handle stressful situations professionally
Job Duties
- Create a welcoming environment for customers to enhance confidence and loyalty
- Ensure the bakery department merchandise is presented according to the plan
- Provide daily product availability, freshness, quality, and value on shelves
- Offer product samples and assist customers with product inquiries and suggestions
- Process and decorate bakery orders according to customer requests ensuring satisfaction
- Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently according to company guidelines
- Maintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and company policies and procedures
