Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Compliance with all Fresco y Mas policies and procedures
  • Ability to travel at least 80 percent of the time
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment according to company guidelines
  • Food safety certification or ability to obtain it within 180 days of hire
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Basic math knowledge
  • Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Competency with computer applications used in department operations

Job Qualifications

  • Education preferred: high school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Competency with bakery department equipment and computer applications

  • Experience in supervision 0-3 years minimum
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently

Job Duties

  • Create a welcoming environment that makes customers feel valued and appreciated to increase customer confidence and loyalty
  • Ensure the bakery department is merchandised according to plan
  • Maintain daily conditions that meet company standards for product availability, freshness, quality, and value on the shelves
  • Offer product samples and respond to customer questions, assisting with product suggestions or special orders
  • Receive and process customer orders efficiently and decorate baked goods according to customer specifications ensuring satisfaction
  • Use decorating kits and hand-painting skills to prepare a variety of quality baked products
  • Perform daily and weekly administrative tasks such as communications and online training
  • Process and bake products according to production guidelines
  • Conduct product quality checks for freshness, expiration evaluation, and remedial actions
  • Receive and unload delivery trucks, storing products in designated areas
  • Store and rotate bakery products to maintain freshness and inventory control
  • Replenish and efficiently use supplies to eliminate waste and control costs
  • Follow safety and sanitation standards including temperature control documentation
  • Promote teamwork and effective communication within the bakery team to meet or exceed objectives
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and company guidelines
  • Execute timely product recalls and maintain product security
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions or security concerns to management
  • Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment and conduct safety training participation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and bakery equipment
  • Travel to assigned stores to complete tasks as a floating employee
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
