Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions
  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift 60 lbs
  • Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products and spices without allergic consequences
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures
  • Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping duties
  • Ability to climb a ladder to retrieve items from overhead storage
  • Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others
  • Ability to work all assigned schedules and comply with attendance policies
  • Ability to engage and lead associates to achieve department goals

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Experience in supervisory or management roles preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP procedures
  • Proficiency in basic computer functions and technology
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and engage associates to achieve department goals
  • Good understanding of inventory management and retail operations

Job Duties

  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and regulatory laws
  • Supervise department associates and ensure adherence to safety and food handling procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service
  • Oversee onboarding, training, and development of new associates
  • Monitor product quality, inventory accuracy, and pricing
  • Ensure department presentation standards including stocking, labeling, and signage
  • Utilize technology and department applications effectively
  • Manage department financials to meet sales and profit goals
  • Enforce company policies and maintain proper staffing
  • Assist with food preparation, catering, and special orders as needed
