Job Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
- Ability to perform basic computer functions
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, and occasionally lift 60 lbs
- Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products and spices without allergic consequences
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping duties
- Ability to climb a ladder to retrieve items from overhead storage
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to work all assigned schedules and comply with attendance policies
- Ability to engage and lead associates to achieve department goals
Job Qualifications
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language
- Ability to perform basic math
- Experience in supervisory or management roles preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP procedures
- Proficiency in basic computer functions and technology
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and engage associates to achieve department goals
- Good understanding of inventory management and retail operations
Job Duties
- Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and regulatory laws
- Supervise department associates and ensure adherence to safety and food handling procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service
- Oversee onboarding, training, and development of new associates
- Monitor product quality, inventory accuracy, and pricing
- Ensure department presentation standards including stocking, labeling, and signage
- Utilize technology and department applications effectively
- Manage department financials to meet sales and profit goals
- Enforce company policies and maintain proper staffing
- Assist with food preparation, catering, and special orders as needed
