- One to three months of related experience or training
- Ability to read and understand safety rules and procedures
- Effective communication skills

- One to three months related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before customers and employees
- Bilingual skills are a plus
Job Duties
- Assist all customers in selecting required parts in a friendly and professional manner
- Inform customers of companion part requirements and specials
- Answer phone calls providing price quotes and other information
- Review shop estimates to verify correct parts and pricing
- Pull and fill orders from warehouse inventory
- Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or materials
- Locate out-of-stock parts and submit emergency orders if necessary
- Notify service advisors and customers about special ordered parts status
- Pull orders for shop delivery ensuring correct tagging
- Follow up on back-ordered parts
- Verify will-call and back-order files weekly and return or stock items accordingly
- Replenish assigned inventory daily
- Assist outside sales representatives with orders
- Ensure parts sales are billed on service repair orders
- Receive payments and obtain credit authorizations
- Issue credits for returned parts with verification
- Issue and track requested shop tools to technicians
- Maintain orderly records of all repair orders and invoices
- Set up orders for shipment, delivery, or pick-up
- Solicit assigned accounts by phone
- Keep counter areas and computer equipment clean
- Participate in training programs
- Keep current on new products and product updates
- Participate in lost sales tracking program
- Maintain professional appearance
