Job Requirements

  • must be 16 years of age
  • possess effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills in English
  • have decision-making ability limited to essential duties
  • hold food handler's license or equivalent when required
  • capable of performing physical tasks including brisk walking, climbing stairs, bending, reaching, lifting up to 30 pounds, and standing for entire shifts
  • able to work a flexible schedule including mornings and nights
  • willingness to comply with safety and health standards
  • strict adherence to all gaming and alcohol regulations
  • punctual and reliable attendance
  • able to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment

Job Qualifications

  • good knowledge of food and beverage products and service standards
  • ability to maintain positive customer and staff relationships
  • understanding of Colorado Limited Gaming Act and related policies

Job Duties

  • maintains a clean and safe work environment
  • serves food and beverages to customers promptly and courteously
  • develops, maintains and enhances positive relations with customers and staff
  • complies with safety and health standards including Colorado Limited Gaming Act
  • wears and maintains uniform standards
  • alerts supervisor of concerns regarding food and beverage quality
  • complies with security policies and procedures
  • performs other duties and special projects as directed
  • demonstrates knowledge of all food and beverage outlets and products
  • addresses customer interaction standards and handles complaints effectively
  • ensures tables are cleaned and reset immediately after customers leave
  • assists bussers or buses own tables
  • communicates and cooperates with other departments for guest satisfaction
  • works cooperatively as a team player
  • does not give discounts or comps without supervisor approval
  • reports to work on time as scheduled
  • clocks in and out at the beginning and end of shifts
  • ensures bussers receive at least 10% of server tips
  • checks buffet for replenishment
  • pre-busses tables and picks up dirty dishes promptly
  • assists in the training of new employees
  • ensures correct and appealing food orders are served
  • understands Colorado Gaming ICMPs applicable to the department
  • prevents underage gambling and drinking and enforces ID checks consistently
  • attends annual retraining for underage gambling and alcohol policies
