Job Requirements

  • Ability to read and match numerical and alphabetical characters quickly and accurately
  • strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • basic computer skills
  • high school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
  • working knowledge of automotive warehouse or store industry preferred
  • familiarity with automotive parts preferred
  • advanced computer skills desired
  • fluency in multiple languages, Spanish highly desired

Job Duties

  • Unload various types of merchandise from route trucks and place them in designated staging areas
  • verify unloaded merchandise by matching the drivers manifest to the shipment
  • assist in wrapping, loading, and shipping outbound merchandise
  • verify the store manifest and scan and inspect returned merchandise
  • separate all return merchandise to appropriate staging areas and process exceptions correctly
  • sort and stack rebuilt core and rebuilt warranty items neatly in designated areas
  • follow procedures for staging, cut-offs, auditing, and preparing products for shipping
  • sort and prepare new merchandise for shipment to proper zones
  • maintain and rebox new merchandise received
  • maintain inventory and order boxes used for specific lines
  • add reboxed parts to inventory following correct cut-off procedures
  • maintain and sort warranty merchandise into vendor bins
  • coordinate warranty processing paperwork and product handling with vendor representatives
  • maintain vendor representative files and warranty schedules
  • transfer merchandise and paperwork to the RGS clerk promptly
  • dispose of hazardous materials and oil according to company policies
  • process recall, changeover, and stocklift merchandise
  • handle non-stocks from main and remote distribution centers and all unsaleable items
  • maintain tag shelves where applicable
  • work with sales regarding demo, used, and loaner equipment including credits, billing, and shipping
  • test warranty batteries and process paperwork
  • process new and rotation batteries and recondition as needed
  • perform monthly inventory rotations and reporting
  • prepare and match paperwork for RGS merchandise shipments
  • ensure all RGS merchandise is properly packed, weighed, loaded, and shipped to vendors and complete corresponding paperwork
  • maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • uphold safety standards and identify unsafe practices
  • serve as a trainer for new team members and ensure training programs are followed
  • communicate job duties, departmental changes, and procedures to team members
  • perform all other duties as assigned
