Job Duties

  • Locate and pull merchandise by matching item codes and numbers on the pick ticket against part number on the merchandise
  • place merchandise in tote or stage bulk items in the appropriate area
  • ensure totes are labeled correctly and do not exceed weight limits
  • maintain accuracy and productivity standards when picking orders
  • consolidate and pack stock order merchandise quickly and accurately
  • itemize products not shipped in totes on freight bills
  • operate handheld computers or voice picking equipment
  • check items off freight bills during loading
  • load trucks quickly and securely
  • keep picking zones supplied and repair totes as needed
  • operate printers and sort tickets and labels
  • maintain cleanliness and safety in work area
  • conduct training programs for new team members if designated
  • maintain safety standards and identify unsafe practices
  • perform all other duties as assigned
