Job Duties
- Locate and pull merchandise by matching item codes and numbers on the pick ticket against part number on the merchandise
- place merchandise in tote or stage bulk items in the appropriate area
- mark tote by customer number and send down the conveyor when the order is complete
- ensure totes are labeled correctly and do not exceed weight limit
- maintain standards for accuracy and productivity when picking orders
- consolidate and pack stock order merchandise quickly and accurately
- itemize products not shipped in totes on the freight bill
- operate handheld computers and voice picking equipment
- check items off freight bill as they are loaded
- load trucks quickly and accurately
- tie and secure freight on the truck
- keep picking zones supplied with totes and repair as needed
- start printers and sort tickets and labels
- operate equipment for outbound functions
- keep the work area clean and dispose of trash properly
- serve as a trainer if experienced, ensuring training is conducted according to schedule
- maintain safety standards and identify unsafe practices
- perform all other duties as assigned
