Job Requirements
- Ability to pass a criminal history background check
- Must be able to stand or walk for prolonged periods
- Must be able to do repetitive motions with hands, fingers, wrists
- Must be able to lift and move boxes and trays weighing up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, crouch, or kneel
- Must be able to communicate verbally in a moderately noisy work environment
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience as a cashier, in customer service, or in a food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and hygiene procedures
- Ability to assist with simple food preparation tasks following established recipes
- Basic ability to operate standard food service equipment including POS systems
- Ability to greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work cooperatively with others as part of a team
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions
Job Duties
- Operating a point-of-sale (POS) system/register accurately for all transactions
- Serving food items to customers following food safety guidelines
- Operating an espresso machine and mastering drink recipes with speed and accuracy
- Assisting with light food preparation and kitchen cleaning tasks as needed
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary dining environment
- Supervising high school student interns during shifts in the cafe and coffee shop
