Job Requirements
- Minimum four years or 8000 hours of relevant aviation/aeronautics industry work experience
- Experience within six years of application
- Valid vocational teaching certificate or authorization with appropriate endorsement
- Student-focused approach
- Ability to develop and implement curriculum
- Competency-based curriculum development experience desired

Job Duties
- Create and implement curriculum and lesson plans
- Complete proper and accurate recording of student paperwork
- Comply with DPSCD and state mandates for high school students
- Develop curricula and instruct students in ground-school classes on vocational content
- Develop instructional modules covering operation procedures and trade systems
- Determine student proficiency and report on progress
- Provide practical training relevant to theory lessons
- Design and utilize training manuals and materials
- Organize cockpit familiarization classes and prepare proficiency reports
- Maintain student progress reports and provide coaching
- Develop innovative techniques and training aids
- Provide expertise to instructional designers
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
