Job Requirements

  • 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license in good standing and 5 years of driving experience
  • Successful clearance of local and or state background checks
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English

Job Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience working with people with cognitive processing skills
  • Any combination of allied health, psychology, medical or pre-nursing coursework

Job Duties

  • Be informed and know all the individual needs on a person-centered basis
  • Assist in creating a monthly activity calendar that is both informative and creative for all needs
  • Assist clients in achieving their individualized goals such as development of life skills
  • Facilitate community integration by accompanying participants on outings, volunteering, and participating in local events
  • Provide support and assistance to participants, including personal care, mobility assistance, and behavioral support
  • Ensure the health and safety of clients including providing first aid and responding to emergencies
  • Maintain accurate and timely records/reports of participant progress, including goal attainment, support provided, and behavior or medical concerns
  • Flexible in their willingness to work with their supervisor to devise supportive and fun activities
  • A responsible steward of resources who actively participates in program inventory management
