Job Requirements
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license in good standing and 5 years of driving experience
- Successful clearance of local and or state background checks
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English
Job Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience working with people with cognitive processing skills
- Any combination of allied health, psychology, medical or pre-nursing coursework
Job Duties
- Be informed and know all the individual needs on a person-centered basis
- Assist in creating a monthly activity calendar that is both informative and creative for all needs
- Assist clients in achieving their individualized goals such as development of life skills
- Facilitate community integration by accompanying participants on outings, volunteering, and participating in local events
- Provide support and assistance to participants, including personal care, mobility assistance, and behavioral support
- Ensure the health and safety of clients including providing first aid and responding to emergencies
- Maintain accurate and timely records/reports of participant progress, including goal attainment, support provided, and behavior or medical concerns
- Flexible in their willingness to work with their supervisor to devise supportive and fun activities
- A responsible steward of resources who actively participates in program inventory management
