Job Requirements

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma
prior custodial experience in a commercial or institutional environment preferred
applicant must pass verification of employment/reference screening and a background check
ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
experience in custodial services, preferably in large commercial or institutional settings
knowledge of proper cleaning, sanitation, and disinfecting procedures, including CDC recommended practices
ability to operate custodial tools and equipment safely and efficiently
ability to follow verbal and written instructions
strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
ability to interact courteously and professionally with students, staff, and the public

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Perform daily cleaning and disinfecting of classrooms, offices, restrooms, and other assigned areas
identify and respond to cleaning needs throughout the campus
safely use cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies according to college and CDC guidelines
monitor cleanliness and restocking of restroom supplies and sanitizing stations
maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for students, staff, and visitors
work in conjunction with Facilities and Maintenance staff to support building operations
assist with setup, moving, and arrangement of furniture and equipment as needed
report maintenance or repair needs to Facilities staff
perform other related custodial and maintenance duties as assigned
