Job Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, push, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach overhead, and reach forward constantly (up to 100% of the time)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to read cleaning instructions
- Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and uses
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Must communicate effectively in English
Job Qualifications
- One to two years’ experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus but not required
- Experience in a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is beneficial
- Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced, multitasked job
- Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude
- Dependability and punctuality
- Respect and understanding for co-workers and customers
- Ability to communicate in English
Job Duties
- Remove debris and maintain common space areas
- Restock bathrooms and respond to cleaning emergencies
- Perform cleaning duties using ServiceMaster products and tools including sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, window cleaning, and moving furniture or equipment
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
- Use proper personal protective equipment when required
- Clean common space areas such as kitchens, cafeterias, lobbies, and break rooms
- Place safety hazard signs including "wet floor" signs as necessary
