Job Requirements

Background check conducted in accordance with applicable law
Physical or health screen pre-placement
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, to be on feet most of the day
No formal education required
Availability to work 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Monday through Friday
Ability to follow safety protocols for handling cleaning chemicals

Job Qualifications

Previous janitorial or custodial experience
Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
Understanding of infection control practices and importance of maintaining a sanitary environment
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Flexibility to work during both day and evening shifts as required

Job Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of all common areas, waiting rooms, hallways, and restrooms
Disinfect and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, light switches, and elevator buttons
Empty and properly dispose of trash and medical waste according to established guidelines
Refill dispensers for soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed
Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be reordered
Assist with setting up and cleaning meeting rooms and event spaces as necessary
Collaborate with maintenance and facility teams to address any issues related to building cleanliness and safety
Report any maintenance or repair needs to appropriate personnel
Follow all safety protocols and procedures including proper handling of cleaning chemicals
Other tasks and projects requested by the customer and Advanced Building Maintenance, Inc team
