Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work
- Ability to lift frequently up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including day and evening
- Ability to follow safety protocols and handle cleaning chemicals properly
- Background check clearance in accordance with applicable law
Job Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Understanding of infection control practices and importance of a sanitary environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Physical stamina to perform lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Flexibility to work day and evening shifts as required
Job Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and dusting of common areas, lobbies, waiting rooms, hallways, and restrooms
- Disinfect and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, light switches, and elevator buttons
- Empty and properly dispose of trash and medical waste according to guidelines including outside and around the building
- Refill dispensers for soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need reordering
- Assist with setting up and cleaning meeting rooms and event spaces
- Collaborate with maintenance and facility teams to address cleanliness and safety issues
- Report maintenance or repair needs to appropriate personnel
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals
- Perform other tasks as requested by customer or Advanced Building Maintenance, Inc team
