Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- must have reliable transportation
- less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to read 2-3 syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
- ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
- ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
- basic math skills including adding and subtracting two-digit numbers, multiplying and dividing by 10’s and 100’s
- knowledge of American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance, and volume
- required to have a valid driver’s license if driving own or company vehicle, with proof of vehicle registration and insurance
- bilingual is a plus but not required
Job Duties
- floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting
- surface care such as dusting, sanitizing, glass, mirror, and window cleaning, metal and wood polishing, cleaning blinds and draperies
- waste removal by emptying trash and recycle bins and transporting waste to proper disposal areas
- light maintenance including replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinets
- complying with safety rules, policies, and procedures, stopping at-risk behaviors
- following all company protocols, procedures, policies, and rules
- taking direction and responding to supervision
- using proper personal protective equipment
- presenting a professional appearance and conduct
- understanding reporting systems and the environment
- transporting small equipment, tools, chairs, and tables, straightening areas like lobbies and conference rooms
- cleaning drop-in desktops, assisting janitorial staff with restocking restrooms and break rooms
- damp mopping floors
- restroom cleaning
- cleaning elevators
- spot cleaning upholstered furniture and carpets
- dusting open common spaces
