Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience
- knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards for handling hazardous cleaning solvents and chemicals
- ability to operate and perform minor maintenance on custodial tools and basic hand tools
- familiarity with commercial cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment
- lifting up to 50 pounds
- standing or walking for 6 to 7 hours
- motor vehicle operation
- bending, lifting, twisting
- safe handling of cleaning solvents and chemicals
- operation of light power equipment
- willingness to work in varying conditions including exposure to heat, cold, and rain
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience preferably in a corporate setting
- knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards for handling hazardous cleaning solvents and chemicals
- ability to operate and perform minor maintenance on custodial tools and basic hand tools
- familiarity with commercial cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment
- ability to work independently and respond promptly to immediate cleaning needs
- strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- good communication skills to report facility issues appropriately
Job Duties
- Execute daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting furniture or equipment to maintain a high standard of cleanliness across all corporate spaces
- clean and stock bathrooms at least twice daily ensuring toiletries and paper products are consistently available for employees and guests
- manage the timely breakdown and disposal of supply boxes and transport all trash and waste to designated disposal areas during business hours
- maintain cleanliness of kitchen and breakroom areas including countertops, floors, refrigerators, toaster ovens, microwaves, coffee/Keurig machines, and water coolers
- monitor and replenish breakroom inventory including paper goods, coffee, tea, creamers, and cleaning supplies
- track inventory levels in corporate supply closets, facilitate transportation of supplies between buildings, and manage ordering process for all stock items
- maintain beverage and refreshment stock for board meetings and corporate events and assist with professional setup of refreshments, tables, and chairs
- proactively inspect property including stairwells for spills or water and perform immediate cleanup to ensure employee safety and prevent accidents
- monitor physical condition of property and report required repairs or maintenance issues to Facilities Manager
- maintain plantings and landscaping at corporate headquarters and Main Street branch to ensure professional curb appeal
- safely handle, store, and utilize various cleaning solvents and chemicals in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and State Health Department regulations
