Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
- No prior experience required but one year of similar work experience preferred
- Prior customer service experience is an advantage
- Ability to establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships
- Ability to follow procedures for chemical and equipment use
- Capability to perform physical cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Military experience and relevant Occupational Specialty Codes are encouraged
- Willingness to comply with safety and quality standards
Job Duties
- Clean and maintain assigned area including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways
- Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors in designated areas
- Regularly check trash receptacles and empty as needed
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage
- Notify lead cleaner or manager about repairs or additions needed
- Establish and maintain effective communication with clients, co-workers, and supervisors
- Collect, consolidate, and separate recycling into proper receptacles
- Clean and dust desks, chairs, tables, furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings, and walls
- Polish hard surfaces such as woodwork and stainless steel
- Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
- Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment manually or by using hand trucks
- Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors
- Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, and perform seasonal tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and polish restrooms as needed
- Comply with safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures
