Job Requirements
- less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- must have reliable transportation
- ability to read 2-3 syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
- ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
- ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
- know how to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds
- know the American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance and measures such as cups, pints, quarts, gallons, etc
- required to have a valid driver’s license if driving own vehicle or company vehicle on business time, will also require proof of vehicle registration and insurance
- bilingual is a plus, not required

Job Duties
- floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting
- surface care including dusting, sanitizing, glass, mirror, window cleaning, metal and wood polishing, cleaning blinds and draperies
- waste removal including emptying trash and recycle bins and transporting waste to proper disposal areas
- light maintenance including replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinets or rooms
- complying with safety rules, policies, and procedures and stopping at-risk behavior
- following all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
- taking direction and responding to supervision
- using proper personal protective equipment
- presenting a professional appearance and conduct
- understanding reporting systems and environmental requirements
- transporting small equipment, tools, chairs, and tables
- straightening areas such as lobbies and conference rooms
- picking up trash, recycling, and compost bins and transporting them to proper disposal areas
- assisting janitorial staff with restocking restrooms and break rooms
- damp mopping floors
- restroom cleaning
- glass cleaning
- restocking and organizing supplies in janitorial closets and storage areas
- cleaning elevators
- spot cleaning upholstered furniture and carpets
- dusting open common spaces
