Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- some related experience
- ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- availability to work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM
- willingness to work evenings or weekends on call
- ability to travel between buildings and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- ability to safely operate various cleaning equipment and use chemical cleaning agents
- strong attention to detail and reliability
- capacity to communicate effectively with supervisors and management
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, some related experience in custodial or cleaning roles preferred, basic mechanical knowledge preferred, ability to follow written and verbal instructions, knowledge of safe use of cleaning agents and equipment, reliable and organized team player, willingness to work evenings or weekends on call if needed, ability to practice necessary safety protocols, effective communication skills
Job Duties
- Daily interior cleaning of the building including emptying waste receptacles, debris and trash removal, vacuuming and shampooing floors and carpets, dusting and cleaning furniture, cleaning and restocking restrooms, washing walls, polishing, mopping floors, placing down mats and runners in inclement weather, cleaning up spills, cleaning windows and window coverings, performing exterior building and premises cleaning and basic maintenance including cleaning exterior walls and windows, parking lots, walkways, gardens and lawns, outdoor furnishings, pools and fountains, curbs and gutters, exterior hallways and stairwells, assisting with minor maintenance and repair work such as painting, replacement of light bulbs and fixtures, repairing doors and gates, minor landscaping and related repairs, assisting with inventory control and supply ordering, performing snow removal including salting and sanding, assisting with tenant moves, notifying management of spills and emergency situations, properly and safely using and operating cleaning equipment, tools, and chemical cleaning agents
