Job Requirements
- Must have reliable transportation
- Less than high school education or up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read 2-3 syllable words, recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
- Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
- Know how to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
- Know the American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance and measures such as cups, pints, quarts, gallons, etc
- Required to have a valid driver’s license if driving own vehicle or company vehicle on business time, will also require you have proof of vehicle registration and insurance
- Bilingual is a plus, not required
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education or up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read 2-3 syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
- Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction of two-digit numbers, and multiplication and division by 10's and 100's
- Knowledge of American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance, and volume such as cups, pints, quarts, and gallons
- Required to have a valid driver's license if driving on business and provide proof of vehicle registration and insurance
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required
Job Duties
- Perform floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting
- Provide surface care such as dusting, sanitizing, glass, mirror, and window cleaning, and metal or wood polishing
- Remove waste by emptying trash and recycle bins and transporting waste to designated disposal areas
- Conduct light maintenance duties like replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinets
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures, and intervene to stop risky behaviors
- Follow company protocols, procedures, policies, and rules diligently
- Take direction and respond appropriately to supervision
- Use proper personal protective equipment at all times
- Present a professional appearance and maintain professional conduct
- Understand and utilize reporting systems related to custodial work environment
- Transport small equipment, tools, and furniture, and maintain orderly areas such as lobbies and conference rooms
- Perform cleaning tasks focused on restrooms, break rooms, elevators, and common spaces between events, including spot cleaning upholstered furniture and carpets
- Restock and organize supplies in janitorial closets and storage areas
