Job Requirements

  • Less than high school education or up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle registration and insurance if driving on business time
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to use personal protective equipment appropriately
  • Ability to maintain professional conduct and appearance
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Job Qualifications

  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to read 2-3 syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
  • Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
  • Effective communication skills with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
  • Basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with 10s and 100s
  • Familiarity with American measures of money, weight, size, length, and volume
  • Valid driver’s license if driving company or personal vehicle during work hours
  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • Perform floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting
  • Conduct surface care by dusting, sanitizing, cleaning glass, mirrors, windows, polishing metal and wood, and cleaning blinds and draperies
  • Remove waste by emptying trash and recycle bins and transporting trash to proper disposal areas
  • Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and restocking supplies
  • Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures and intervene to stop risky behaviors
  • Follow all company protocols, procedures, and rules
  • Take direction and respond to supervision effectively
  • Use proper personal protective equipment
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times
  • Understand and utilize reporting systems relevant to the work environment
  • Transport small equipment, tools, chairs, and tables and tidy areas such as lobbies and conference rooms
  • Assist janitorial staff with restocking restrooms and break rooms, clean elevators, and spot clean furniture and carpets between events
  • Dust open common spaces and organize supplies in janitorial closets and storage areas
