Job Requirements

  • Reliable transportation
  • Less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver’s license if driving a vehicle for work
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to work with coworkers and customers
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Understanding of American units of measure
  • Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
  • Ability to use personal protective equipment
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance and conduct

Job Qualifications

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Ability to read 2-3 syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
  • Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
  • Know how to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
  • Know American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance and measurements such as cups, pints, quarts, gallons
  • Required to have a valid driver's license if driving own vehicle or company vehicle on business time
  • Bilingual is a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • Floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting
  • Surface care including dusting, sanitizing, cleaning glass/mirrors/windows, polishing metal/wood, cleaning blinds and draperies
  • Waste removal including emptying trash and recycle bins and transporting waste to proper disposal areas
  • Light maintenance such as replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinets or rooms
  • Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures and stop at-risk behaviors
  • Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
  • Take direction and respond to supervision
  • Use proper personal protective equipment
  • Present a professional appearance and conduct
  • Understand reporting systems and the environment
  • Transport small equipment, tools, chairs, tables, and straighten areas such as lobbies and conference rooms
  • Pick up trash, recycling, and compost bins and transport to proper disposal areas
  • Assist janitorial staff with restocking restrooms and break rooms between events
  • Damp mop floors and clean restrooms
  • Clean glass and elevators
  • Spot clean upholstered furniture and carpets
  • Dust open common spaces and organize supplies in janitorial closets and storage areas
