Job Requirements

  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read 2-3 syllable words, recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
  • Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
  • Know how to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
  • Know the American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance and measures such as cups, pints, quarts, gallons
  • Required to have a valid driver’s license if driving own vehicle or company vehicle on business time and provide proof of vehicle registration and insurance
  • Bilingual is a plus, not required

Job Duties

  • Floor care including vacuuming, mopping, and carpet spotting
  • Surface care such as dusting, sanitizing, cleaning glass, mirrors, windows, polishing metal and wood, and cleaning blinds and draperies
  • Waste removal including emptying trash and recycle bins and transporting waste to disposal areas
  • Performing light maintenance like replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinets
  • Complying with safety rules, policies, and procedures and stopping at-risk behavior
  • Following all company protocols, procedures, policies, and rules
  • Taking direction and responding to supervision
  • Using proper personal protective equipment
  • Presenting a professional appearance and conduct
  • Understanding reporting systems and the work environment
  • Transporting small equipment, tools, chairs, and tables, and straightening areas such as lobbies and conference rooms
  • Cleaning desktops, restocking restrooms and break rooms, damp mopping floors, cleaning glass, spot cleaning upholstery and carpets, and dusting common spaces
