Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license if driving own or company vehicle
- Proof of vehicle registration and insurance if driving
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to use basic math skills
- Physical ability to perform custodial duties
- Ability to work safely using personal protective equipment
- Ability to interact positively with team members and customers
- Willingness to work first shift Monday through Friday
Job Qualifications
- Must have reliable transportation
- Less than high school education or up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read 2-3 syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
- Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
- Knowledge of adding and subtracting two-digit numbers and multiplying and dividing with tens and hundreds
- Knowledge of American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance, and measures such as cups, pints, quarts, gallons
- Required to have a valid driver’s license if driving own or company vehicle
- Bilingual is a plus but not required
Job Duties
- Floor care including vacuuming, mopping, carpet spotting
- Surface care including dusting, sanitizing, glass/mirror/window cleaning, metal/wood polishing, cleaning blinds and draperies
- Waste removal including emptying trash and recycle bins and transporting waste to proper disposal areas
- Light maintenance including replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinet/room
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
- Follow all company protocols, procedures, and rules
- Take direction and respond to supervision
- Use proper personal protective equipment
- Present a professional appearance and conduct
- Understand reporting systems and environment
- Transport small equipment, tools, chairs, and tables
- Clean and organize common spaces and assist janitorial staff
- Perform restroom cleaning, glass cleaning, and spot cleaning of upholstered furniture and carpets
