Job Qualifications
- Must have reliable transportation
- less than high school education or up to one month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to read 2-3 syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
- ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
- ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
- know how to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
- know American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance and measures such as cups, pints, quarts, gallons
- required to have a valid driver’s license if driving own or company vehicle and proof of vehicle registration and insurance
- bilingual is a plus, not required
Job Duties
- Floor care including vacuuming, mopping, carpet spotting
- surface care such as dusting, sanitizing, cleaning glass, mirrors, windows, metal and wood polishing
- waste removal including emptying trash and recycle bins and transporting waste to proper disposal areas
- light maintenance like replacing light bulbs and restocking supplies
- comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
- follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
- take direction and respond to supervision
- use proper personal protective equipment
- present a professional appearance and conduct
- understand reporting systems and environment
- transport small equipment, tools, chairs, tables, straighten areas like lobbies and conference rooms
- assist janitorial staff with restocking restrooms and break rooms
- clean elevators, spot clean upholstered furniture and carpets, and dust open common spaces
- clean drop in desktops between events
