Job Requirements

Must have reliable transportation
Less than high school education or up to one-month related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read two to three syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
Ability to print clearly and speak simple sentences
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, managers, and customers
Know how to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s
Knowledge of American measures of money, weight, size, length, shapes, distance and measures such as cups, pints, quarts, gallons etc.
Required to have a valid driver’s license if driving own vehicle or company vehicle on business time, including proof of vehicle registration and insurance

Job Duties

Floor care including vacuuming, mopping, carpet spotting
Surface care such as dusting, sanitizing, glass/mirror/window cleaning, metal/wood polishing, cleaning blinds and draperies
Waste removal involving emptying trash and recycle bins, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal areas
Light maintenance like replacing light bulbs and restocking supply cabinets or rooms
Complying with safety rules, policies, and procedures and stopping at-risk behavior of self and others
Following all company protocols, procedures, policies, and rules
Taking direction and responding to supervision
Using proper personal protective equipment
Presenting a professional appearance and conduct
Understanding reporting systems and the work environment
Transporting small equipment, tools, chairs, and tables and straightening areas such as lobbies and conference rooms
Cleaning drop-in desktops, assisting janitorial staff with restocking restrooms and break rooms, damp mopping floors, restroom cleaning, glass cleaning, restocking and organizing supplies in janitorial closets and storage areas, cleaning elevators, spot cleaning upholstered furniture and carpets, dusting open common spaces
