Job Requirements
- Basic cleaning responsibilities requires no previous experience
- Must be able to take direction, to work with minimal supervision, and to function cooperatively as part of a team
- Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment
- Use a portable vacuum cleaner - back pack style
- Requires attention to detail, a pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance

- Basic understanding of cleaning procedures

- Familiarity with using cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers
- Attention to detail and pride in delivering quality service
- Physical stamina and endurance for manual cleaning tasks
Job Duties
- Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other surfaces inside buildings
- Use light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines including attachments
- Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas and spot clean daily
- Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all other horizontal surfaces including high dusting
- Wash windowsills, glass in interior doors, partitions, and specified windows
- Wash glass and trim at entrance doors, both interior and exterior, and spot clean interior walls as appropriate
- Clean bathrooms, restock paper supplies daily, and perform all standard bathroom cleaning procedures
- Monitor possible defects such as clogged urinals and lights out, and report to supervisors
- Collect building trash daily, replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers, and place trash in designated collection area
- Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walkways at building entrances and connecting sidewalks as directed
- Perform periodic tasks such as high dusting, leather and wood surface polishing, and wall washing
- Carry out any other duties as assigned
